Learning objective of the course "Ergonomics"
Ergonomics is an interdisciplinary basic subject for students of safety engineering. Students develop an understanding that ergonomic work design is an essential prerequisite for safety-oriented, healthy, motivated and productive work. Using selected concepts from the different areas of ergonomics (physical, cognitive and organisational ergonomics) as well as case studies, they learn to recognise and optimise unfavourable work situations. The students' own active contributions and the study of recommended literature help to deepen their knowledge in ergonomics.
