Learning objective of the course "Empirical Social Research and Statistics"
The students are familiar with the basics of scientific research, from the theory-based generation of the research question, to study planning and implementation, including data collection, to statistical evaluation and interpretation of the study results. They have basic knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics as well as statistical methods for the analysis of correlations. They are familiar with the principles and methods of empirical social research and can relate these to the world of work.
